Issue
When a SMART SC9 firmware update is available, SMART Notebook 10 software displays a balloon message. Then when you click the balloon message, the SMART Firmware Updater wizard appears.
For a 600i series interactive whiteboard with a Unifi 35 projector, the wizard can’t locate the interactive whiteboard, and then you’re unable to update your SC9 firmware.
Cause
The Unifi 35 projector corrupts the firmware update file.
Solution
Connect the interactive whiteboard’s SC9 controller to your computer, and then update your SC9 firmware.
To update your SC9 firmware
-
Disconnect the USB cable connecting the interactive whiteboard’s SC9 controller to the Unifi 35 projector.
Let the cable hang.
Note
If your computer doesn’t have a monitor, you need to connect a monitor to your computer.
-
Use a standard USB cable to connect the SC9 controller to your computer.
-
Click the balloon message, and then follow the on-screen instructions in the SMART Firmware Updater wizard to update the SC9 firmware.
-
After you update your SC9 firmware, disconnect the USB cable connecting the SC9 controller to your computer.
-
Connect the SC9 controller USB cable to the Unifi 35 projector.
